During the procedure, a speculum (about an inch in diameter) is inserted into the rectum. The speculum has 2 ports. One that allows warm, filtered water to gently flow into the colon to cleanse and loosen waste, the other is where the waste flows through to the closed system irrigation and directly into the septic.

Yes, colon hydrotherapy is generally safe when performed by a trained professional using proper equipment. It’s a non-invasive procedure that promotes detoxification.

During the session, you’ll lie comfortably on your back while warm water is introduced into the colon. The therapist may gently massage your abdomen to help release trapped waste. The process is usually painless, though you may feel some pressure or cramping.

Most clients experience little to no discomfort. You may feel some cramping, similar to gas pains, as the water and waste are released, but this it typically brief and mild.
